his 1st Senior Division Championship in our 6th year history.
Coach Cliff has been with us from day one and really deserves this
championship. Congrads to all the players on the Portland team -
I know its hard to get together every week during the summer but you
guys really pulled together to make your team the best it could be.
Congrads go out to Coach Mike of the Jr. Division Maryland team. Mike and the kids had to really work hard to win its second in a roll Championship. Stanford really gave Maryland a run for the playoff with an overtime loss in the second round Maryland 39 - Stanford 38, one point. Great playoff game, great work coaches and players. email us at BCWB@BCWB.ORG with your suggestions for this page. Did you know !!!!!!!!!! Coach Timmy Whims, coach of the Junior Division Cincinnati team, pictured below, also is an assistant coach for the Mid-Maryland Moncoacy Varsity Basketball Team. Moncoacy ended the regular season tied for second place, to Thomas Johnson, with a record of 11 wins and only 3 losses. Monocacy was defeated by Thomas Johnson (TJ) in the semifinals of the championship game. TJ took a 22-18 lead at the half as Iman James had 9 of his 11. Brandon Rascoe added 16 points for TJ and Herbert Chase netted 11, including a three-pointer with one minute to go. Monocacy was led by Danny Foit with 12 point, Max Fisher added 7. TJ was 15-for-22 from the charity strip. Timmy has been a faithful coach who has volunteered his time to teaching, instruction and fellowship with his summer league team. The kids are the true winners on Timmy's team and BCWB is thankful for his leadership to the kids and BCWB organization. Timmy has a good core of returning players from last year and we expect some exciting moments during the summer games. Top of page
