When the Board of Directors for Basketball
Coaches Without Boundaries started looking for a well known, well liked
and all around good person to toss up the first jump ball for the
opening of our 2000 Youth Basketball Summer League
program, everyone
said "Let's get Terence Morris". At the time Terence was going
into his senior year at the University of Maryland and just finished a
great Junior year. Also, with Terence being a local favorite and
highly scouted basketball player from Governor Thomas Johnson High
School, he was the obvious choice. Terence accepted the
opportunity and the rest is BCWB Youth Summer League Basketball
history. Terence continued his support of our Youth Basketball
Summer program with guest appearances at our registrations held at the
Francis Scott Key Mall, where Terence greeted the public and signed
autographs.
During his High School career at
Thomas Johnson, Terence was the eighth-best collegiate prospect in the
nation. Rated as the 25th best high school player in the nation
by The Sporting News. Played for the Capital All-Star team in the
Capital Classic at USAirways Arena. Named as the Frederick County
Player of the Year as a junior and senior beat out Nate James of Duke
as the County Player of the Year as a junior.
Terence went on to play his college
Basketball at the University of Maryland.
Where he achieved so
many awards, records and recognition, I am going to have to direct you

Selected by the NBA Atlanta Hawks Maryland

2001-02 and
