Christmas Joy for Kids

This is our annual Christmas program for families with circumstances related to the mission of the Angel Tree Christmas Organization.   The Angel Tree Christmas is a program where incarcerated dads and moms have volunteers deliver gifts to their children at Christmas. The Christmas gifts are presented as being from the mom or dad in prison assuring the children that they haven't been forgotten!

Over the years our BCWB Christmas program has touched over 1000 children's lives through the loving participation of Board members, local  businesses and citizens like you.

Board members for BCWB along with Salvation Army, employees of local businesses,  Youth Summer League families and friends contribute Christmas gifts to families in the Frederick County area.  Our Board member deliver the gifts to the families and shared a word of encouragement and Christmas Joy.  Each family is very excited and humble to have received this act of kindness and to know their parent(s) cared enough to make sure their children had a Merry Christmas.  BCWB would like to thank everyone who made this very special program a success.

Here is how you can get involved for our Christmas Joy for Kids program
Some restrictions apply: The children must be 16 or under; they must be children or stepchildren and there must be no court order barring the parent from contacting his children.   BCWB coordinators telephone the child's caregiver to determine the child's Christmas wishes. Generally, BCWB tries to provide each child with at least two gifts with a total value of no more than $35. One is a toy; the other is an article of clothing.

If you would like to get on our donation list for the upcoming Christmas Joy for Kids, please contact us.
