Youth Summer Basketball League
Opening
Day Speaker
Saturday,
June 6, 2009 - college estates park
McDaniel
College
Coach
Curley took over the Green Terror sidelines in 2007.
In
two years, he has guided the Green Terror to back to back
winning seasons and two consecutive Centennial Conference
play-off appearances. This past season he led the Green
Terror to 18 wins, the most wins in a single season in
McDaniel history, and a second place finish in the Centennial
Conference. For his teams accomplishments, Curley was
named the 2009 Centennial Conference Coach of the Year.
Before
taking over the McDaniel program, Coach Curley spent nine
years as an assistant coach at Colgate University, including
serving as the top assistant from 2002-2007, where he helped
head coach Emmett Davis become the winningest coach in Colgate
history.
As
a recruiter at Colgate, he helped bring in four All-Patriot
League performers, five players named to the all-rookie team
and four 1,000 point scorers.
Prior
to that, Coach Curley served four seasons as the assistant
coach at Bethany College, WV. The last class that he assisted
in the recruitment of went on to win their conference twice
and made one trip to the NCAA tournament.
