BCWB teamed up the family of the late Mr. Nicholas Leakins to establish and implement the "Nicholas Leakins SAT Scholarship".   Mr. Leakins was a well-known educator in Frederick County.  He began his teaching career in Frederick County at Lincoln Elementary School in 1949, taught at Elm Street School in 1963, became Vice Principal at South Frederick Elementary in 1968, became Principle in 1970 and continued there until his retirement in 1986.   BCWB uses donations made to our Every Child Counts Campaign to fund our Nicholas Leakins SAT Scholarship.

BCWB offers scholarships, based on application criteria,  toward college expenses (books) to qualifying current Youth Summer League Participants and National Student-Athlete recipients. Other opportunities this program is considering is paying SAT testing Fees.  If you have not taken or know someone who has not taken the SAT and would like to apply for this scholarship please complete our application form.   If you do not qualify for the scholarship but would like to take advantage of the "free" pre-test sessions, please complete the  program application and submit to BCWB, P.O.
