Youth Summer League Celebrates our
Youth Summer League and Summer Camp Basketball
| Since our year 2000 opening game tip-off tossed
up by then University of Maryland Star and former member of the NBA
Houston Rockets, Terrance Morris, BCWB has been providing a safe and
enjoyable environment for the Youth of Frederick Country. We would like to thank Dr. Glison, of Frederick Medical And
Pulmonary and the Gilson family for being our first sponsor and
supporters of BCWB Youth Basketball |

Additionally, we thank Pepsi for being the second
sponsor in our first year of Youth Summer Basketball.
In our second year we continued to provide more Youth Summer
Basketball. During our
second year we expanded our league by allowing teams to enter.
Our first team to enter the league was I-270.
Also, during our second year we seen an increase of public
support with over 20 individual memberships into our Every Child
Counts Campaign 2001. We
like to thank all of our ECCC members for your support.
This same year we added the Every Child Counts Campaign
Bowl-A-thon. |
| Our ECCC Bowl-A-Thon proceeds allows us to offer
early registration discounts which keeps our Summer Basketball
programs affordable to every family in Frederick County.
Additionally, we had two more teams entries in the junior division
(Kentucky and Virginia) while the senior division added one new team
(Charlotte). During our
third and forth year of Youth Summer Basketball the junior division
increased to 10 teams while the senior division increased to 8
teams. Youth Summer
Basketball is lots of fun and everyone has a good time. |

Oh, I could not forget the Year-end picnic.
Everyone is welcome and everyone has a great time.
Plenty of food, fellowship and fun. As
we prepare for our 5th season, we encourage you to get
involved. Become an
Every Child Counts Campaign member. Enjoy the many benefits of ECCC membership while you promote
BCWB youth summer basketball and help us reach outside the
boundaries of basketball to other community events.
As usual, the Board of Directors and members of BCWB will see
