BCWB Summer
Challenge Tournament Update
Hello and welcome to our
BCWB Summer Challenge Basketball Tournament. Thank you for your
participation in our BCWB Summer Challenge Series Tournament.
We have been working on meeting
the various request and securing those who have made committments
to join the tournament. We have had serveral changes to make over the last few days. If you were provided an update on your
requirement - it may have changed slightly.
So, please read the Tournament Schedule very carefully.
Please be aware the
tournament may be held in multiple locations. We are doing our best
to keep from having teams travel from one site to another. However, you
may play at one site on Saturday and a different site on Sunday - so pay close
attention to the site location on your schedule. Travel
directions can be found on our website at www.bcbw.org.
A few very important Tournament rules to remember are:
1. Teams are not allowed
to modify or add to your roster after the first game of the tournament is
played. In the event you have a player who will not be attending your
Saturday game, you should make sure that player is listed on your roster on
Saturday before your first game. You will not be allowed to add players
to your roster on Sunday or after your first game is played.
2. There will be a door
charge for visitors. Coaches and one (1) assistant (only) will be allowed
free entry. There will be a one time fee
which will give you access to all other facilities (All access pass) - $8.00
Day Pass / $15 Weekend Pass (6 years and under FREE). Please make sure your
parents are aware of the door charge and rates.
3. Each coach/team
should prepare to arrive at the tournament site at least 1/2 hour in advance to
check in with our tournament host. Please be on time. Doors will Open at the Thomas
Johnson Middle School 12:00 Noon and Walkersville Recreation Center Site at
8:00 AM on Saturday.
Some teams are playing
varying number of games per day and (2) or more games on Sunday. However, most teams should expect to play as
least 2 games on Saturday and one (1) maybe 2 games on Sunday. Playoff,
Play in and Championship games will be played on Sunday.
4. Awards will be
presented to each Championship team (individual Trophy award for players and
Coaches). Runner up will get Plaque award - players and coach.
5. We will have
wall charts for you to keep track of your team progress and status. In
the event you have any questions about what time you play or what position/rank
your team end up at the end of the day on Saturday - please check our website
first (www.bcwb.org) - if still unable to determine your status
please contact me directly at bcwb@bcwb.org (Coach Ray, Sr.). We are
hoping to have the website updated by mid-night Saturday night.
